JPaulZ
Hi, folks. I'm completely new to this. Is there any phone help with a human being provided by osCommerce, or anybody else, for setting up an osCommerce store/account? I'm doing my first website (selling T-shirts) and I'm completely lost. I've seen 3 or 4 places while digging around that say how easy it is. LOL! If this is easy, I'd hate to see difficult. I'm sure once you know it, it is simple, but right now, I'm about to lose it. I'm already working on my site and have an acount. I just want to set up the store. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanx JPaulZ
Wendy James
No, there is no phone help. All the help you can get is right here on these forums or on the knowledgebase. What exactly areyou having issues with? The more specific the questions the more likely you will get an answer. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. hubcat
Hi, I'm relatively new here - been working with OS Commerce for about 3 months now and just about ready to go live with my shop. Here are my suggestions. Start at the "Solutions: Documentation" piece in the header of this page. The Knowledge base (http://www.oscommerce.info/) has some decent info in it. There are no live people you can call that I know of, but most people are willing to answer questions here on the forums assuming they haven't been asked and answered 50 times already. So... try searching for an answer to your question before posting, but if you're having trouble, post away. If there's something you want the store to do, but it doesn't seem to do it, check the contributions section. (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions)Almost anything you can think of has already been coded and set up for other people's enjoyment. It's worth taking a couple of hours and just looking through the whole list to see what jumps out at you. (I did that early on.) Someone who's been around a bit longer may provide you with some other advice, but as a newbie, these steps really helped me. Good luck, Adrienne
