i copied the file in C:\Programmi\EasyPHP1-7\www\oscommerce\ and i followed the install instructions.

then i visited my local oscommerce site (http://localhost/oscommerce/), but it says:

"Warning: session_start(): open(/tmp\sess_56111d1973941eaca8684d6771d19cf2, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in c:\programmi\easyphp1-7\www\oscommerce\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php on line 67"

Warning: The sessions directory does not exist: /tmp. Sessions will not work until this directory is created."

so i create the tmp directory in C:\Programmi\EasyPHP1-7\www\oscommerce\tmp but the error doesn't disappear.

then i create the "tmp" directory in C:\Programmi\EasyPHP1-7\www\tmp\ whit the same results. <_<

then it in all sub directory of ...\www\oscommerce\ with the same results.

Set the last line of both configure.php files to read 'mysql' where indicated. This stores sessions in the database - so you don't then need a 'tmp' folder. This is especially good advice for when you install your website online, as it will most likely be on a shared server with a shared 'tmp' folder.
