tax not added to order

I created a tax zone to north carolina

I have a tax class called taxable goods

I set north carolina to the taxable goods class at a rate of 7%

 

When I create products select them as taxable goods.

 

I have display prices with tax false because I don't want them to see the tax at product description but when order is totaled in cart.

 

I created a test user in north carolina and it will not add the tax to the order. So what is the problem.

Bumping is not allowed and is against forum rules.

 

If you elect not to display prices with tax then you must make sure that under Modules --> Order Total that the tax is added at the end of the process.

I still don't understand because in Modules > Order Total, I have "Tax" set to Display Tax = True. Is there something else I'm missing.

just for kicks i tried the display tax with price set to true. as a guess the tax is added to each product. when logged in with a user from North Carolina, the tax is removed though it shouldn't be.

I decided to adbandon the oscommerce solution for zencart since I can't get no help. I transfer my database over to it and it is running like a champ.
