linder60
Hi All, I've been reading the forums and see there is a contribution for shipping for certain situations, like purchases over $100.00 etc. What I wanted to do was offer free shipping for only certain items. I'm php stupid  to the extreme and the one time I tried to do a contribution it didnt go well at all. Here's my question, I tried to put shipping weight as 0 in the catalog on one item, so it had no weight hoping it would show free shipping, dang me it didnt work. It showed when I tried to checkout that the weight was .1 and shipping was .60 first class mail USPS. Is there anyway around this at all ?? I cant seem to find a solution other than a contribution, and I've struggled bad with that aspect of osCommerce, I've done things I'm sure the hard way on alot of stuff when a contribution would have worked, but I just cant seem to do them, I know there are great folks out there that will do them for a fee, I've done that already and it was great, but funds are not there right now for anymore hiring. :( Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions, have a good one. Linda <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Linda, Things are not that difficult really, you just need to apply a little bit of logic mixed with a lot of patience, the answers always out there somewhere it's just knowing where to look! that's the hard part. Re your question on shipping try just leaving the box empty in other words dont put any figure '0' or otherwise. Try it and let me know. Kind Regards, Michelle. radders
The truth is out there eh? Try adding another postage rate with a smaller weight and 0 price. That is what I did. It is not a perfect solution but it got me most of the way there.
