Client Defined Payment Amount

I need to set up osCommerce such that a client can enter in the payment amount and credit card number and have the amount transferred into my merchant account.

 

Can this be done??????? Are there different ways to do it and what are the tradeoffs??? Are there other packages out there that might be better for this kind of thing????

It can be done but you will have to moddify the software to do so, or you can purchase and use a commercial add-on which actually do exist. You can probably find it by googeling.....

The one which do exist, seems to be using the attributes functions in the contrib: Product Attributes - Option Type Feature to do the trick.
