Guest
Hi I'm failing to get past the test connection on the install script. The error message is: Access denied for user: 'holistics@%' to database 'holistics_dn' I am using the same details as when I connect successfully using phpMy Admin, bur the only hostname I've been able to get from Plusnet (ISP) is rumpus. Do I need an absolute path? If so has anyone got clues as to how I might construct it? Regards Dave Q

Guest
Usually 'localhost' works - try this :P Matti <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks, tried it and got different error message. Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) I suppose this might indicate that oscommerce/install is finding rumpus?
