question about editing a few things on my store

Thanks to the archives of this forum and a friend I've met who has been emailing me support, I've FINALLY figured out how to edit some things using cuteftp. I spent hours Saturday opening each file with my text editor, but I still have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.

 

Here's what I'm trying to do next:

 

1)I'm in the USA, so the below doesn't make sense on the "Create Account" page. How to I edit it so instead of post code it says zip code, and how do I put it under the State instead of above the city? Also, is there a way to put in a drop-down menu for the state?

Suburb:

Post Code: *

City: *

State/Province: *

Country: *

 

2)I'm trying to do a test order and this is what it says on the USPS shipping:

United States Postal Service United States Postal Service

An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations.

If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner.

 

I read something about creating an account with USPS (which I did) and replying to an email they sent once registered (which I never got, so I emailed them from their webpage) requesting to be added to production? or something. Sorry, don't remember, can't find it at the moment, but I did copy & paste directly from this forum. Does this sound like that's why I have an error above?

 

3)Then on the confirm payment page, I would like to limit the credit cards to only VISA and MasterCard. I currently process manually and those are the only 2 I can do. I will be researching the various payment gateways that are installed on oscommerce, but for now this is what I have. How do I show on the form to only those 2?

 

4)On the upper left-hand corner is the oscommerce logo. I managed to replace the bottom with a picture of my own, but how do I replace the one in the upper left-hand corner?

 

5)Directly under the logo is some text. It says Top>>Catalog. How do I change Top to Home?

 

6)I just received the emails welcoming me for registering and for placing an order and paying by check. Where do I find those emails to edit?
