Im trying to alter the starting ordernumber to 50000.

I tryed to insert this into the database but nothing happened:

alter table osc_orders auto_increment = 50000;

Does someone know how to pull this off?

So what?! Who care in a hundred years anyway?

Do you mean you ran it from either your phpmyadmin type screen or from the mysql command line?

when you say nothing happened, is this after trying to create an order and the order number was just next one up from the last order?

Im not a pro with SQL or PHP. All I did was pressing the SQL-button in phpmyadmin and inserted the codeline in the field and ran it. It said afterthat it had successfully change some line and then I made a order but nothing had happened with the ordernumber.
