Bob O Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Hi, I am looking for a shopping cart to complete my ecommerce website. I think I only need a way to tally the "add to cart" icons on my site, and then add them up at "check out", and tie them to a payment gateway. OS was recommended to me, but it looks more complicated than I need. I don't think I need a catalog with fotos of my products, as they are on my site. I have only about 20 products. My questions is twofold: first, can OS be easily simplified to provide just the basics as I outlined above? Second, if not, are there other carts someone can suggest I look at. Thanks much, Bob
Wendy James Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 osCommerce can do what you want but with more work than I am sure you are willing to do. osCommerce is a full store set up, not just a shopping cart. It can be stripped down but it will take a bunch of work and php knowledge. It is fantastic though, if you decide to use it. Many great features not only on the client side but the admin side as well. Discussions of other shopping (store) cart systems is against forum rules.
