bbelau Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I've spent hours reading posts, trying to figure out how to change the Page Title (not the title that shows up in the browser title bar), but the title that is actually embedded in the php page that by default displays itself as "Let's see what we have here" or simpy "Catagories". I'd like the title to say the name of the category that's in the left-side menu & breadcrumb trail, not just "Categories". I assume that the page title would then have to be pulled from the db, but I have no idea what the code for that would be or where it would be put.... Is there a simple fix for this, or a contrib? :'( I hope so! Thanks!!! Brett
njtermite Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Brett, This should do the trick for you. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ns,1394/page,16 Mark
Wendy James Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 There is also http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,207 (which helps with search engines as well as change the title) and many others http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1954 http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2430 http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1908 http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,778 Pretty much anything you can think of can be found in the contributions area. Ok... not everything but just about. : ) Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
kissakiman Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I always use the program Agent Ransack. Do a search on google... This program can search in you (php)files for a particular word or phrase. Brilliant software, it saved me much time! Peter

Peter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea, that's a great download...I really want to try the Filelocator Pro from Mythicsoft too...it has alot of the capabilities of Spotlight, the new MacOS X 10.4 search tool, which is a total lifesaver. But when you're working on Windows...good luck trying to find anything!
