Guest Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Ok I'm trying to add a little more spice to my site. this is what it currently looks like and this is what I want the boxes to look like: as you can see I've used a simple 1px to the left side of the box and placed a shadow under the bottom and righthand side of the box that is about 3px wide. Now I know that this contribution is capable of doing the shadowing: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...1/search,shadow but how would I do the 1px left border with no other borders on the rest of the box? Any help on this would be of great help and appreciated... thanks! Quote
Jack_mcs Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 You could try the FULL option in the settings and provide a clear image for the top left. That might work but I couldn't say for sure. Why not just set the border for the infobox? It will not be noticeable with the bottom and right images in place. Top_Speed Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I believe if you add the border to the info box (in css stylesheet?) it will be "around" the exterior of the shadow and not the just box itself. --KJ Quote define('PROJECTS', 'Something that goes on forever!');

The left side. If added to the entire box it does not look correct since the top part of the box has a built in border within the image to give it a specific look. As the other member said I think that when the shadow effect is added the border will expand to include the shawdow as well since the shadow is created from a series of images. So this is really a challenge to be overcome if such can be done. I'm wondering since the shadow is a series of images if the images can be adjusted to create the effect. I think I'll email the code contributer for this and see if he has any ideas on how such can be be done. Edited July 5, 2005 by ODS Quote
Jack_mcs Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Don't bother. Already done (I'm him). :) You could create a shadow with the line in it for the left side, set the display mode to full and use a clear image for the top image. I think that will work but have not tried it. As far as the line surrounding the shadows is concerned, it won't do that. It will just surround the box. I will PM you a link to a site which demonstrates this. I've sent one back to you.. let me know if you have time to work on this and if so a price to get it installed... I simply don't have the time to play around with it and since your the creater should be a easy job for you since you know exactly what files and where the changes need to be added in. thanks again for the PM and your help on this.
