What exactly do you mean by that? Have you purchased and installed a full SSL certificate? Or are you just looking at the placeholder folders where the certificate files would go?

If you check any of your https links you'll find that none of them work.

As I explained above - none of your https pages are loading - check out the Login and Create Account pages (which should be https).

It's possible that you are with one of those hosting companies that use seperate folders, one for httpdocs and the other for httpsdocs - in which case you'll have to duplicate all of your folders and files in the httpsdocs folder.

Im having the exact same instances regarding anything with https. I dont see what you are referring too with the 2 folders, I dont seem to have those, or am not looking in the right place.

Also I get blank white pages when adding to cart, and I have to go back... but the product is then added. Same same when removing the item from cart. These two pages are not https but http

Make sure that in includes/configure.php your http_cookie_domain is set to either www.yourdomain.com or just yourdomain.com (either way there's no http:// in front).

Without more info I can't help you on the ssl problem.

what info you need?

its www.oldsaltys.ca

anything on a secure socket layer returns a 404 error

when I try to edit the includes/config.php to follow some earlier steps, the file restores back to the original state

This is the page I receive when access https

Not Found

The requested URL /saltys/create_account.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache/1.3.33 Server at wind.securenet-server.net Port 443

When I view the certificate:

issued to wind.securenet-server.net

issued by comodo class 3 security service CA

valid through 01/2006

Everything there checks out on the Security Alert except the last part:

The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name on the site.

Also i havent found a httpd or httpds folder, but I did find an ssl folder with certificate i installed into it.

Everything else works great on the site, minus a few tweaks, just those problems listed. Anything going to https, and the blank white pages when adding or updating cart. Probably will be more. i dont know why the config resets back to original, seems like the problem could be fixed if it were possible.

i was being a goofus... of course it wouldnt save my changes, cuz i didnt chmod first. Now that i did do that, everything was set correctly. I started a new topic regarding this issue more thoroughly, because ive disabled ssl to allow some functionality on the site. I want to focus on the blank pages, and whether that is a redirect.php issue. Thx vger
