volksman3
Hi all This is my first post to this forum and I am an oscommerce newbie. I have installed it with no problem and am based in the UK. I cannot work out how to change the zone to a UK zone from the default value of Florida. I have deleted Florida in the hope that it would then give me the option to select another but that did not work and has now left me with the number 18 as my specified zone. Since I installed oscommerce and looked at the drop down list in zone it has always been blank and only about one or two letter wide - is this right? Please help as I am lost without a map!! :'( Cheers Tony
Reuben
Dude, I got that same problem. Im guessing theres something that needs to be added/modified in admin/includes/configure.php, have a play around. Thats all we can do until someone in the know helps us out here. Good luck.

Does that help. Kind Regards, Michelle

Installing osCommerce was ok, but in Admin -> Configuration -> MyStore -> Zone is only "Florida" and in the dropbox there are no options. When i tried your guide (as above), step by step, it changed nothing, i still cannot change my zone.

It states (Please remember to update the store zone. ) Well i can't 'cos it's blank and I can't do anything with it. In fact I'm completely baffled. I'm also trying to make my currency GBP but it says I have to do this manually too -so is the default USD and then I put in the exchange rate? as you can tell I'm making a complete hash of this. Oh well only been with it a couple of hours maybe something will click! Cheers S  J

You can use the world zones contribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1792 but keep in mind the zones do not follow the default zones_id so if you have existing customer accounts it may change them to the wrong states. Or get this one here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3607 extract the archive and use only the world_zones_sequential.sql. It will update your zones table but maintain the oscommerce default sequence for existing countries with states.
