front page problem

hi everyone i am trying to customize oscommerce to look like one of my website pages but i am experiencing some difficulties.

i folod the instructions removed the text and now it says

i don't know how to fix it please help

Look in the inclues/languages/english/ directory and make sure there is a file there named index.php and that you can read it. For some reason, the code cannot get to it.

You can do that but it is going to be a lot of work on a stock shop. If you install the STS contribution, it will be easier to install (although still a lot of work) but STS will slow down your site.

hi

i changed permition on my c panel to 777 but it still tells me on my admin can not change file need permition

Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/planets/public_html/shoppingcart//includes/column_left.php

my problem is i can't change pernition in ftp only cpanel

Sounds like your host does not have it set up correctly to allow you to do that. I would contact them and ask that they look into it.
