How do i add a flash template??

Hi,

how do i add an intro page that is in flash format to my oscommerce site so that it apears when they type in my site url. (i think they are called flash page).

If you could help it would be much appreciated.

Flash pages are no good for search engine opt.

 

Typically osc is installed in a folder (ie. store, shop/)

In the root index you can add the flash splash screen and in flash you can set it to go to store/index.php after x amt. of seconds or use a javascript.

Very easy, add your .swf file to your default page(usually index.htm) then create a getURL action in the last frame of your .sfw to point to your storefront.

i have a flash intro but i need to edit it- any program you know outside of photoshop or anything??

 

also- any idea how to install a flash template on osc??

I installed the flash template and it was pretty easy, just follow the instructions that come with it (I did however remove it, I only installed it to see the developers perspective on implementing flash into their template). The only way your going to edit flash is with a flash editor like Macromedias Flash. If you need something simple done I can do it for you real quick tomorrow.
