vonbaxter Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 A supplier I just signed an agreement with has a database with all of their product information already in it such as price, photos, descriptions etc . . . Is there an easy way to add this information to Oscommerce? Can I set it up to draw the product info from their database? How would I import it into my oscommerce database? Thanks for all your help. My first PHP experience was with oscommerce and slowly (very slowly to me) I am starting to get a slight grasp of it :D
Guest Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 You really want to have your own database, not point to theirs. A common option in this scenario is to create a comma-delimited file with all the info you want to import to the database via the EasyPopulate contribution. Your supplier may be able to provide the file to you, then you'd just need to adjust it a bit. -jared
