ok this is driving me nuts. I've reset the permission to includes/configure.php about 20 times now. I reset it after install to 644 which still gives me the error. If I try to set it to 444 like the instructions say to it doesn't give any errros but then when I check it its back to 644!!??

HELP!

Matt

It sounds like you are hosting on a Windows server, and you can't use the chmod command in FTP to change permissions on a Windows server.

Go to your web hosting control panel (not your osCommerce admin panel), and look for a link to File Manager. Use File Manager to navigate to the includes/configure.php file and then use File Manager to reset to 444 (r-r-r) or 400 (owner - read only).
