Setting Up In Subdirectories

robo

Recommended Posts

I have a running webstore that I don't want to take down to try Oscommerce. I want to set up Oscommerce to run in a subdirectory off of the root called "New Website". I have tried to setup configure.php several times without success. I did search around the forums for help, but either I missed the post or there isn't a situation like mine.

Anyone want to help a willing learner?

Thanks,

Rob

Shouldn't be a problem - I have 2 copies installed on our server - one in a sub-directory called catalog (the live store) and one called site-test (used to test contribs and edits).

As far as I remember, all I did was create a new database (called site-test in my case), copy all the OSC files into the new sub-directory and run the install script.

Are you using the installer or just copying the files to the new directory and editing configure.php?
