Hy u there! I'm a spanish newbie and I have the same trouble than you, my installation stops at second page, and the system reloads it like it happens to you.

I am looking for an answer, I find one, be sure I'll tell it to you

Bye!

Are you using PHP 5?

Either switch to another php (4.3.11?)

or configure the configure.php files manually and run oscommerce.sql manually.

Configure.php files are in catalog/includes/ and catalog/admin/includes/

Ok, I am trying to understand you, please correct me If I am wrong

I have to edit the 2 configure.hph files, both the same, but, what have I to modify in theese files??

And the second one, once theese files are modified, I only have to execute the oscommerce.sql file in phpmyadmin??

With theese two changes will be done the installation?

Please, asnswer us with the changes we have to do at configure.php files.

thanx and Bye!

Check if the two configure files contain the right information.

Example with first lines of admin configure.php:

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mydomain.nl'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers
?define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.mydomain.nl');
?define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', '');
?define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module
?define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', 'd:/www/mydomain.nl/www/catalog/'); // where the pages are located on the server
?define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/catalog/admin/'); // absolute path required
?define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', 'd:/www/mydomain.nl/www/catalog/admin/'); // absolute pate required
?define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/'); // absolute path required
?define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'd:/www/mydomain.nl/www/catalog/'); // absolute path required

And yes, then you can run oscommerce.sql with phpmyadmin
