Credit card payments

What I need is to add a option to the Credit card options. The new option will alow the customer to select if he wants to pay the amount in one amount (default) or to spread the payment over a 2, 3 or 4 payments.

 

How can I add this additional drop down option to the existing credit card options and have it appear in the final page confirmation of the order
