koconnor00 Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Hi all, >_< I am interested in changing the border colours on the shopping cart, as I have a logo placed across the top and the colours arent matching too good. Could someone direct me to where I would find the areas to change the colours please? Thanks! Also, I added paypal as my payment method. I did a test run and it all works perfectly. When I confirm the order to pay it, I go to a paypal webpage, make the payment and then get the option to go back to the store. Great thats exactly what I wanted. Now what's all this about the IPN? Some paypal method of payment... Whats wrong with the method I am using do you guys know?? Thanks a million in advance!! Kev.

Kev. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The issue centers on the customer not clicking that button to return and the order not being registered on your cart. The quick fix is to enable auto-return on your Paypal account in the website payments section. This will give them the idea that they are SUPPOSED to return to your store to finish. Many folks like to click away to look at their Paypal balance and such. So then you get notice from Paypal of payment but no order is registered. Their cart remains full on your store's database. Auto-return works 99.5% of the time for me. I have not installed the IPN. The IPN registers orders before they leave for the Paypal site. In theory, it is much better than auto-return, but I've heard numerous complaints about implementation and functionality. For someone new, auto-return is quick, easy and effective. If you have the time to work it out, the IPN should be better in the long run.
koconnor00 Posted June 17, 2005 Author Posted June 17, 2005 Hi Brushwood, Without installing the IPN how do I put on auto return? is it in the admin area? Thanks, Kev.
♥Vger Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 The auto-return is something you have to turn on in your PayPal account on the PayPal site. Vger
koconnor00 Posted June 17, 2005 Author Posted June 17, 2005 Hey thanks for the help Vger I used the stylesheet to change the colours around the boxes. Now after doing so around each of the boxes a grey part appears. I dont know why. I tried changing all colours on the stylesheet to see by a process of elimination which one was colouring them grey but cant find it.. Do you know why it is so?? Thanks a million, Kev.

Vger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Vger, You have helped me with other issues, and I thank you. I have trying to locate how to onlu remove or change the colour of the info box for "what new for june" which appears on the index page. I wish to keep the border around the infoboxes on the columns. Where do i locate the code for this? Or is it a bit more in depth. Regards john
♥Vger Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 You'll find an infoBox background command in the stylesheet, and this is actually CSS shorthand for the border. If you make this background the same colour as your webpage and then apply the contribution mentioned above then you can apply borders to all other boxes but remove the one from the 'What's New For ***' box. This is also the solution to Kevin's problem posted above. Vger
