Post Intallation Problems

Recommended Posts

BSD 5.3, PHP 4.3, MySQL 4.0.34

I am sorry for being a newb, and I know this has been discussed, but I cannot seem to rectify the problem.

After "succesful Installation" I get this at the bottom of my catalog.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_write_close() in /usr/local/www/data-dist/oscommerce/catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 106

And this when I try to access the admin tool.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '(', expecting ',' or ';' in /usr/local/www/data-dist/oscommerce/catalog/admin/includes/classes/sessions.php on line 33

I do not have dns, so I am running on IP addreses as this is an internal development server only.

A similar post says that I need to change FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT but to what. I have tried a number of options including $DOCUMENT_ROOT (doesn't this have to be defined in php.ini?)

I know it is probably somehting simple in my configure file which I include here.

My full server path is

but data is actually a symbolic link to data-dist
