electron Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 hello, does anyone know if it is possible to create multiple stores and be able to browse them? I want from the first page to choose the store and inside the store to choose the products from the categories. From the Contributions i found the Multiple Stores. I installed it, but it is not what i need, because the products and the categories are common for all the stores. regards electron
dezil Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 If your talking about how to do it like somewhere like tesco.com then the multiple stores would have to be multiple copies of the oscommerce system, although it would be advisable to link some databases together, eg user details so that there are not totally seperate stores. Then link between them using normal html page links in the header. If you want the shopping cart to cover the entire collection of stores youve got a whole lot of extra work to do, from the looks of it not even places like tesco do it. OR you could make all the stores the top level catagories and then have the contents below that?

I'd like multiple OSC stores to share users, see http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/380629-help-needed-mutiple-osc-sites-but-single-registration/
