Stellmach Computers Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I have no clue what user name and password I used for my site, and have no clue where to send the forgotten password form to. How do I reset the password? As in which php file?
Iggy Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 That would be in the database and not in a php file. Iggy Everything's funny but nothing's a joke...
Banyo Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 That would be in the database and not in a php file. Iggy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Myabe I am missing something here...yes, keep laughing.... how can I easily change the admin PW - which I thought is someting that people would want to do regulary - nut no mention in Documentation, knowledge base, can't find a straight answer in the forums either.... so: in which DB table is the admin PW kept? Many thanks "What you choose is your destiny"
Wendy James Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 osCommerce does not come with a password for the admin area. So you will either have to check to see if you have a contribution installed to figure out which field it is in the database (although I doubt you will be able to read it if it is in the admin because it will be encrypted), look to see if you have an .htaccess file in your directory or check on your hosts control panel to see if they have a place to passsword protect directories. Banyo Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 OK - got it. A simple directory protection through the CPanel of the host. Did not see the tree because of the forest. Thanks! "What you choose is your destiny"
