bayoupizzazz Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Hi, I am pretty new at all of this; I have installed a couple of contributions without problems. I just decided to try and customize my store colors. I went in and changed one hex code in stylesheet.css (in the info box section) and it didn't look the way I wanted, so I uploaded the previous stylesheet. Nothing happened. And not only did the header box color change (the one change I made), now the fonts are different, and the subcategories are double-spaced. What is going on? I also tried to restore my database backup and am getting an internal error. Any suggestions? Quote

bayoupizzazz Posted June 13, 2005 Author Posted June 13, 2005 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got my previous database restored but the appearance is still messed up. I don't get what's going on. I backed it up yesterday before I did anything regarding contributions or stylesheet changes and it looked completely standard before I backed it up. Now I can't fix it! Please can anyone help me?? bayoupizzazz Posted June 13, 2005 Author Posted June 13, 2005 By the way, if anyone would like to take a look, it's at www.bayoupizzazz.com/catalog/index.php Quote
bayoupizzazz Posted June 13, 2005 Author Posted June 13, 2005 OK, my designer had an original .css that he uploaded and all is well. I'm still puzzled, though, because I had tried the same thing (uploading the original stylesheet). Maybe just my opening and closing the file caused some changes with the formatting I guess. And now I understand too that the stylesheet is not part of the database backup... Quote
eTiMaGo Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 it's possible also that your stylesheet file is cached by your browser, happened a couple of time... use your browser to open the stylesheet file, refresh it, then go back to your actual site and refresh.. or, simpler, but not sure if it'll work, in IE, press Ctrl and F5 to force refresh all elements of the page. Hope that helps! Quote
