Product listing in catagories

Ihave had my store live for a couple day's, and so far so good, until today. One product sold out, and now is not listed at all. I would like for the listing to remain, but show out of stock. I cant find any configuration setting in admin fore this.

I use CartXpress so this is how I did it....

 

In Admin under Configuration there are some links like My Store, Product Listings, Images, Customer Details, etc. Choose the link...Stock. You will see Mark The Product Out Of Stock. You can go in there and type what you want to show if you're product is out of stock. I have Temporarily Out Of Stock in mine.

 

Then when an individual product is out of stock that message will show.

 

If you still want the product to show even though it's out of stock open the Catalog/Contents and go to the product description and choose the In Stock button. It's a circle next to the words In Stock. BUT in the Product Quantity put zero. Choosing the In Stock mode with zero quantity makes it show on your site but will say Temporarily Out Of Stock if that's the message you set up in the Configuration section.

 

If you don't want it to show at all then choose the Out Of Stock mode in the product description (checking the circle next to that mode). Then the product won't show up on your site at all.

I figured that one out, but I am going to have to do this each time a product sells out, aren't I?
