I have had the experience of seeing both manuals, and from what I can see, the oscbooks are extremely helpful and very well laid out.

wow cool thansk so much guys, im trying to learn as much as i can so i can minumize the number of "dumb" questions i ask about running a store. I really like the PHP, SQL based non microsoft stuff! fregin awesome thanks!

the osc manuals are really beginner oriented the user manual covering almost every option on the admin side.

the osc books are more indepth on the particular topic at hand.

osc books is a bit more value for money, but osc user manual might just be what you need as a beginner.
