Category Box

hey there

 

i want to make a different design of the categories stuff, because of the wide range of my products.

 

so i wanna have all top level in the header

 

and then when someone clicks on CATEGORY A in the header, all subcategories get shown in the categories box. but only those categories

 

the categories box only is shown, when a top level category is choosen

 

anyone can help me how i can fix that??
