OK. I got OSplayer working in firefox without a problem. But, in IE the popup does popup but than just sits there saying "loading data." I have no clue why this is not working. Here is the code that brings the player up.

javascript:popupWindowPlayer('popup_oscplayer.php?product_id=28&autoplay=false')

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This would be to do with which media player is configured to work with IE. It sounds as though you don't have one.

Well i can go to kein lied

And click on his player and it loads fine in IE for me. I did change my popup to

javascript:popupPlayer('popup_oscplayer.php?product_id=28&autoplay=true')

but still no change. Just looks like this and won't go beyond. file size is 200k.

Yes, works for me too. In which case I'm sorry - because I've never used osC Player before and know nothing about the install.

Thanks for your input though. Back to the problem, i also notice in the MP3 manager of the admin section on the right where the player is supposed to work it just looks like the above pic and will not fully load. Again it loads fine in Firefox in the admin section. Anyone else out there either have the same problem or got a fix. maybe I can just tell all my store buyers to download Firefox and ditch mr. bill gates. :D

did anyone figure this out?

I have the same problem, embeded, popup, it loads but the sliding windows won't open. If I right click the player and select play from the menu it will open but no playlist is present. Could it have something to do with not being able to load the playlist in IE?

for the sake of argument, have you tried updating your version of the flash player?

Hello there,

Im new to OSPlayer and fought my way through the installation process. I was able to get the player to associate with a product (eventually) upload an mp3 which stores in the correct directory, however when I attempt to preview the file in the catalog there is no sound, the mp3 file does not start (player stays at 0:00).

I have tried encoding the file at different bit rates, checked the permissions on the data/mp3 directory, changed the permissions to execute on the osplayer.swf and player_parser.php all to no avail. I would be most grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as to how resolve this issue.

If you would like to see the playe in inaction visit this link:

Thanks in advance

Can you be more specific? I'm running Flash Player 8 on my system. Is there something I can do on the server side? It appears to be a permission problem. In IE only, the player won't open but when I right click, press play, the player opens but the playlist is blank. It appears that ie is not getting the playlist. It could be blocking it. All other browsers work fine. And if I go to another store on a diferent server in ie it works fine as well. I've pretty much narrowed the problem down to the hosting service and permissions. Now. this problem has been in this forum for a long time with no clear cut fix as of yet. I'm putting ya'll thru the test! I'm stumped! If your gonna ask a question, please provide an explanation, Thanks! :-)
