California LCD Tax Law

Has anyone implemented a solution to California's LCD tax law? How a tax is required to be collected on LCD's of size 4" or greater? It's tiered too.... so the bigger the more money. Everyone was suppose to collect starting 1/1/05 if sold from cali to cali.

easy way, is to add a fixed attribute to the product, where they can not delete it.

The tax should only apply to California customers. I was planning to look at the tax class and try to have a 2nd tax class that could be enabled for lcd screens....The tax is not a % tax, so the store owner knows exactly what the tax charge would for each product so it should not be hard to implement.
