Remove form fields in create_account.php

I want to remove two form fields in create_account.php

 

The first one is "Date of Birth:" *marked as a required field

 

The second one is "Suburb:" not marked as a required field

 

I have found the code locations in the file to do this but I want to know if this is going

to cause serious problems or errors with registration/authentication/database tables?

 

Can I just delete these two lines of code or comment them out? or what exactly do I

need to do to remove them and keep everything working correctly?

Nevermind, I found out how to change this setting in configuration / customer details.
