Guest Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Can anyone explain this to me? We provide a shared SSL certificate that you may use in order to secure your pages. The shared SSL requires that you use the temporary address in order to secure your files. This address is provided in Section 3 (III) of your account setup letter. This means that you can have the lock in the bottom of your browser showing your visitors that your site is secure. To do so, you would use the same temp address, but use https instead of http. The example is show below: https://host#.ipowerweb.com/~username (remember to replace the # with your hostname and the username with your username) How do I even go about doing something like this or should i just purchase the domain one.
Guest Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 prefer the real deal, however with ipowerweb, you need to find your server number, then your username. a headache. why advertise for them? the better ones start at $69, dont get the low end ones, where you are 'guranteed' $25 per transaction
Guest Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Thanks I will do that then, and I agree with the advertising for them thing too!!! Didnt really think about that haha.
