wout000 Posted June 8, 2005 Share Posted June 8, 2005 ok, so since there are lots and lots of contributions, and you guys, having plans to implement some of those in the software i came up with this idea What if out off all the contributions, you choose the most relevant, most wanted/most needed, ...and give those a number... ok so then you contact the author of that contribution, and ask him if he want's to implement this in the official code... and you do this in the numerical order #1, #2,.... if the author doesn't want to do this for any reason (no time, too lazy,...) an assembled team will do it. After every change, the change is documented and commited to the CVS (or a branch) and reviewed by the official developers these changes, will only be allowed at a given time, so the developers and contribution authors don't mix up code... by doing so, lots of mods are implemented, and if needed update by the official developers, and so you will have the most versatile product there is.
