Guest Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Good morning, My name is Tomek Pietkiewicz and I'm the manager of NZCHF Limited in New Zealand. We are currently in the phase of setting up our own online store. We currently have a few problems. How can we set up the NZL currency (new zealand currency) to work with osCommerce. We are only going to set up bank transfer as the only payment option how can we do this? We have a tax law where goods and services must pay tax of 12.5% on each item, how do I set this up to make it visible for the order to say that 12.5% tax on the item will come to for example $21.45, and then have the total including the original item. Also is there a way to change the shipping price for each item? Thank you very much for your time in answering my questions, have a nice day. Kind regards, Tomek Jan Pietkiewicz
Guest Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 An example of what I want our store to be able to do is at this website http://rhinocomputing.co.nz/oscommerce/index.php thanks.
Guest Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Currency - you need to find the official designation for NZ currency - NZL? Then add this currency in the localisation section of admin. Then make it the default currency Then do a currency update - there's a button on the currency page to do this and you must be on the Internet to do it. That will get the NZ currency working. As for the taxes question, you can show prices with or without tax, I would suggest that you show without tax and put a footer on each page to say that it will be added at the check out. Set the local tax rate to 12.5% and that will be added at the checkout. Hope this helps
