I have PWA installed but I don't expect that this should cause the problem.

Belzibut Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I found my problem, many people said so but I didn't believe until I tried. It is my host, for the last 2 weeks, without any notification they decided to desiable php mail() function. They told me that too many account were sending spam mail on the server so they cut it off. Not from even my accounts. I was wondering why I wasn't getting any more orders from my ecommerces. From now on, I have to let them know if one of my site will be using a php mail form so they can allow the folder it is in to send mail. It is just insane. Hosting from Midphase. I thought I had found the best hosting company ever, no problem for years, never down and quick support but that killed me. Check it out with your hosting company, I bet that's the problem. I hope it helps, and if you know of a reliable reseller host company, please let me know. I can't cope with this shit. Prob: When I click on Password Forgotten? Please Click Here, it sends an email but there is no password in the email. The email is blank!

lonestardolls Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Have you received any help? I asked same question months ago, and went for help with NetFirms my web host. Finally after months of intermittenly trying all kinds of ways to get help, one of the NetFirms suppport people said they've known for a long time that link doesn't work. Then he supposedly gave me the way to eliminate the password forgotten link, which didn't work either. Then I thought I should put a statement in there that says, if you have forgotten your password, please just re-register. But if the customer tries to re-register with the same email address, the system won't let it happen. So I have to go in and manually delete their old registration. Then they can register as new. Is there anyway for me to retrieve their password? And then the other problem, is that when logging in, the system says that it doesn't recognize the email address (when I know it is right). So anyway, that's my window on the world-hope yours get brighter. I hope someone sees this! lonestardolls Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 For those with problems with the forggotten password link problem, try this fix, it actually solved not only that problem, but also the problem with new customers not receiving their registration confirmation, their order confirmation, and yes, they are receiving a new password now. It is in the contribution section, AOL send email problem fix I'm no expert, but I will try to help anyone with their problem. It was a simple as copying and pasting, with NO other changes.
