Wow... ok, I thought when I explained that I was brand new to all of this, and that I have NO html or osCommerce experiece that would explain that all the documentation is over my head.

I am looking for step by step instructions. I am 100% lost.

The only way to get experience is to read and research. Nobody is going to spoon-feed you.

If you really are unable to understand the documentation on any level, perhaps you should reconsider your decision to use OSC.

As a newbie myself - I can relate to your ignorance.

The files you're looking for are in catalog (index.php), catalog\includes\languages (english.php), and catalog\includes\languages\english (index.php).

The data is on a single line in most cases and not obvious. You should recognize the sites main page text to give you an idea what to change and how it will affect your site. The english.php file has all the heading titles in it if you want to change them... - Good luck - GW

You know - when I signed on with ipowerweb.com I thought I understood everything! I walked through the tutorials, etc... they made it look VERY simple... once I signed on for a 2 year contract, then osCommerce popped up and I was stuck. Believe me - had I found out before my 30 day refundable period, I would have cancelled and gone with a site that offered a more friendly shopping cart and store.

It's not so much that it's not "friendly" - it's just flexible, and with that flexibility comes the need to understand a "little" HTML and PHP to get the best out of it.

It's really not that difficult once you get stuck in and start playing around with things.

one thing you will learn with the internet, never ever sign a two year contract. not worth the headache, and down the road you may just eat the loss and go elsewhere, as i do not think they are the best for anyone to use. shared servers are a nightmare, get very slow.

There is a more friendly free store?

I have used quite a few, or helped people with quite a few and...

well I now only use oscommerce. Nuff said =)
