exponential Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Can anyone please suggest the best approach to removing or disabling the shopping cart on all but one product? Which files will I have to modify? Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: 1) Showcase of products with accounts for distributors to login in order to see pricing, but no purchasing of products. 2) The one product I want them to be able to "purchase" or request (for free) is a full color printed catalog. I have already applied a contribution to restrict pricing to logged in users. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
vatikanavenue Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 What about just putting the items out-of-stock and restricting customers from purchasing out-of-stock items?
exponential Posted June 7, 2005 Author Posted June 7, 2005 Ideally, I would like to hide all traces of the shopping cart, but still allow for a catalog to be requested. If I put everything out of stock and restrict buying, the shopping cart and "add to cart" still appear. Any ideas? Maybe a better approach is to remove the shopping cart completely and then write a simple catalog request form and integrate it with the site. Anyone ever remove the shopping cart features completely?
