Is the flat rate really free shipping?

 

because it seems like the cart that I am working used the flat rate. :rolleyes:

the shipping all depends upon what you setup. there is also a tare weight setup in configuration/shipping.

if you want free shipping, you set weights to zero. there are also free shipping contributions available.

we use the flat rate for free shipping. I set the rate to 0.01 so when the shipping checkout loads this is shown as the lowest price so it will check this radio button,

 

in the flat rate module you can set an Item Id List, where I put like Solar, shears for products that have free shipping,

 

but when I add one product to my cart like shears it will default to the flat rate (free shipping) but when I add another to it, it won't even show the flat rate

 

Can you help?

How do you set the Items ID list for the flat rate module? The one included with my ms2 install doesn't seem to have that included.
