ssl on a different port

I need to run ssl on a port other than 443 and i do this by forcing the browsers to go to that port like this example https://www.mysite.com:445/.

I changed the config file https url to look somthing like that it is working fine dose the cookie usage url need mirror you https url?

also my oscsid in this store is not disaperring after the first few clicks like it dose in my other store what would cause that.

this is not an oscommerce issue but a server management issue, and you need to understand the implications of this, thus go to apache.org and search there, as well as searching the internet. also check with your merchant processor, to see if you sending info to them on a different port will be problems.
