Irene Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 On the home page of a new install: Securing The Administration Tool It is important to secure the Administration Tool as there is currently no security implementation available. However, when anybody goes to enter the admin section they get challenged for a userid/password. I didn't put this in. Is it the case that cpanel put it in and I can therefore ignore this message? Cheers, Irene
wizardsandwars Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 If you used an 'autoinstall' program in your cpanel, then yes, your cpanel pasword protected the directory for you, and you can move on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
