Can I translate Configuration section in Admin?

Can I translate Configuration section in Admin panel? All other parts (Catalog, Modules, Customers...) can be translated. Am I missing something? Couldn't find answer neither from forum nor from documentation. Or maybe I was just blind.

Thank you in advance,

The 'admin' section has language files the same as the catalog section. You should be able to download an existing language pack then rename it, edit it, and upload it again (assuming that a language pack for 'admin' does not already exist for the language you are using).

Yes, I did that exactly that way... however I can not find any connections to phrases used in "Admin - Configuration" -section. Tried even find English phrases using grep command. Couldn't find any except from mySql backup files. So do they exists only in database? ...or am I asking stupid questions?

Did you download and install a language pack from the contributions section here? If so, carefully go over the installation instructions again, I suspect perhaps a step was missed during the install.

Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.

In fact I duplicated english -folder and english.php both in admin and in catalog... renamed them in finnish and finnish.php and did the translation to them. If I remember right there were no such step in installation procedure (however I can not remember, I did the installation almost two years ago).

Also, check what your default browser language is set to. Although you are using a different language pack the page will display the language accroding to the default language of your browser.

Have you checked out which language your 'admin' is set to on the 'admin' landing page (top right of page)?

In which case you did not do a full language pack install - because you did not run an sql file into the database for the new language - which is why you have mixed results in the 'admin' section. You are still able to amend entries manually via phpMyAdmin.

Yes I checked that. It is in both case Finnish. All other sections (Catalog, Modules, Customers, Locations / Taxes... and their subsections shows up in Finnish as they should - like in picture above). Only the Configuration section and its sub-sections shows up in English.

If I cd to my catalog -folder and give for example command

grep -l -r "Minimum Values" *

Only results I get are backup-files from Mysql database... so on my understanding there are no php-files anywhere inside catalog-folder where for example that "Minimun Values" located in Configuration box exists. It is only somewhere in database.

This is giving a bit grey hairs as I don't know how to solve the issue.

If someone finds a solution it would be highly appreciated.

If you wish to change those entries to Finnish in place of English then you need to access your database via phpMyAdmin, go to the Configuration table and manually edit those entries.
