Has anyone used google sitemap yet?

Google Sitemap seems like a good idea. I'm not too familiar with SEO, but have followed Chemo's advice and am starting to get top 10 placement on MSN search. (Thanks Chemo)

Google Sitemap is still in Beta and I was curious if anyone who is more familiar with xml than I has tried it. I'm more of a follow instructions kind of person, not a debugger.

If I hear some positive results here, I will try to add it to my site.

PS: Will adding this xml feature cause an incompatibility with the dynamic meta tag mod? I am very new to this web thing and hesitant to try something I'm unsure of.

TIA,

Youbeadit

I'm working on a Google sitemap class as I type this and should have something uploaded directly (maybe by later tonight).

Right now it has support for:

1) sitemap index files - get around that 50K limit

2) Automatic GZ format file save

3) Automatic HTTP Request submission to Google

4) Server or CRON based file generation

I'm highly interested in this new offering by Google...since they only announced it about 48 hours ago I'm sure the feedback will take at least a few weeks to mature. However, it is a very exciting step forward!

Me too Bobby, and would be very interested in what you come up with. Let me know if you're looking for beta testers.
