Rabies jr
I was wondering if any store owners had an opinion on the following kind of situation: Let's say I am selling a few items myself (tangible goods) and then I also had some stuff for sale through a vendor like CafePress, AND then I also had some Downloads for sale via a download site... How would you deal with such a variety of vendors so that to the customer, they can just add what they want to one cart? I have the feeling that the answer is that it's just not possible... At least, I can't really think of a proper way to "checkout" when there are multiple vendors (each with their own payment systems). Anyone have any thoughts on this? aperfecthost
Did you figure this out? I need the same type of setup.
cannuck1964
You would need to loop through the checkout process for each vendor since the payment and shipping options maybe different for each. Conversely, you could have one checkout, then send payments to each vendor independantly once the order was confirmed, by track9jng what was sold and the amounts.... Biggest issue is making sure you associate a product with a vendor.... cheers, Peter M Peter McGrath ----------------------------- See my Profile (click here) for more information and to contact me for professional osCommerce support that includes SEO development, custom development and security implementation
