Guest Posted June 2, 2005 Share Posted June 2, 2005 Hi- I have seen references to this problem, but never a resolution: When trying to use Easypopulate to upload products, I get the following results: Filename: ecommerce.txt | 83453200 2 | | *ACCESS LT | *ACCESS LT | | 314.25 | 43 | | 2005-04-19 | | 393.86 | 1 | 406.43 | 2 | AGRI-COVER | BED COVERS Updated | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 834532000 | 834532002 | 834532001 | 834532002 | 834532005 | 834532003 | 834532003 | 934532003 | 834532001 | 834532001 | 834532001 | 834532001 | 834532002 | 834532001 | 834532001 | 834532005 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 83453200 | 834532004 | 834532000 | 834532000 | 834532000 | 834532000 | 834532000 | 834532000 | 834532004 | 834532004 | 834532001 | Of course the model numbers are unique, I guess EP is truncating for display purposes, here is a sample of the data: v_products_model|v_products_image|v_products_name_1|v_products_description_1|v_p roducts_url_1|v_products_price|v_products_weight|v_date_avail|v_date_added|v_prod ucts_quantity|v_customer_price_1|v_customer_group_id_1|v_customer_price_2|v_custo mer_group_id_2|v_manufacturers_name|v_categories_name_1|EOREOR 83453200 242||*ACCESS LTD; 02-05 DODGE 1500, 03 2500+ LB|*ACCESS LTD; 02-05 DODGE 1500, 03 2500+ LB||314.25|43||2005-04-19||393.86|1|406.43|2|AGRI-COVER|BED COVERS|EOREOR 83453200 058||*ACCESS LTD; 88-00 GM/CHEV SB|*ACCESS LTD; 88-00 GM/CHEV SB||306.75|38||2005-04-19||384.46|1|396.73|2|AGRI-COVER|BED COVERS|EOREOR 83453200 465||*ACCESS LTD; 88-98 GM/CHEV STEP SIDE|*ACCESS LTD; 88-98 GM/CHEV STEP SIDE||306.75|38||2005-04-19||384.46|1|396.73|2|AGRI-COVER|BED COVERS|EOREOR 83453200 551||*ACCESS LTD; 04-05 COLORADO CC 4 DR|*ACCESS LTD; 04-05 COLORADO CC 4 DR||291.75|34||2005-04-19||365.66|1|377.33|2|AGRI-COVER|BED COVERS|EOREOR 83453200 331||*ACCESS LTD; 04-05 COLORADO SC & EC|*ACCESS LTD; 04-05 COLORADO SC & EC||291.75|36||2005-04-19||365.66|1|377.33|2|AGRI-COVER|BED COVERS|EOREOR ... etc., etc., etc. Also, my delimeter is set to the pipe (|) in easypopulate.php, and I get the same results when I use the tab. I uploaded the data file to another oscommerce test site and it did OK, so I am wondering if it is an oscommerce, PHP, MYSQL, server, etc. issue. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help! Scott Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Posted June 9, 2005 Share Posted June 9, 2005 contribution support thread here: Easy Populate http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64945 sounds like the data is not formatted properly. read thru the last 10 or so pages of the thread, I am pretty sure your answer is there. make sure you use tab delmited, in fact you may need to change that in your easypopulate.php file, anything else doesnt work well. Guest Posted June 9, 2005 Share Posted June 9, 2005 Hi, I have exactly the same problem, found any answers yet? thanks, Wouter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It turns out that the server had PHP 5. The host migrated my site to another server that has PHP 4.3, and everything works wonderfully! Let me know if you have any success! Guest Posted June 9, 2005 Share Posted June 9, 2005 make sure it is php 4.3.11, if any older than susceptible to hacks. check admin/tools/server info Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The pipe (|) works fine as the delimiter, and the easypopulate is configured properly. It turns out that the server has PHP 5.
