mahatmakane_jeeves Posted June 2, 2005 Share Posted June 2, 2005 Is there a setting somewhere in OSC that I can set to only allow Authnet or any credit card processor for that matter to Authorized/Pending Capture" not Capture the custoemrs credit card. Some times customers will select the wrong freight rate for their country, and we have to contact them to make corrections. Also, some times a customer will order in a very strange way (a big order overnight friehgt) which we want to hold util verified to our satisfaction it is not fraud. Or a customer may order on a Saturday or Sunday and we do not ship until Monday. These are just some of the reasons we want to manually capture. Guest Posted June 2, 2005 Share Posted June 2, 2005 all merchant card processors capture the credit card info and do not allow you to store it. read the agreements, you will see that detailed in there. if you are having problems with freight pricing, sounds like you need to revamp your options for shipping which is going to make them more accurate for your customers. do not see the problem with orders on saturday or sunday, normal internet business is 24/7, if you are worried put a disclaimer on the site stating what days they ship. authnet will allow a pre-authorization/capture but not where you can see the credit cards. it is for the customer protection and for your protection.
