Wendy James
Anyone else notice that there isn't squat to watch on tv in the morning even when you have 500 channels? I have had to resort to watching "Roller Boogie"... oh mah gawd Such a dorky movie, but man there were a lot of stars in it, or atleat people who are stars now. wizardsandwars
New episodes of Sesame Street come on every morning at 8:30 on PBS. Amazingly, after watching barney and boobah on dvd a zillion times over and over with my 18 month old son, a new episode of sesame street every once in awhile is a welcome relief. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. Winterchild
Well I don't have 500 channels (about 50) and I experience this not only in the morning. :) If I would be able to watch tv all day (once there was a time I could) I'd probably find that there's nothing nice to watch. Ever. (okay with the exception of my favourite soap :D) In general TV just sucks and should be avoided where possible IMO Forum search Contributions search Documentation search (note: docs being adapted for MS3, may be different for MS2) 3 tips for better forum searching Want to post? Wendy James
lmao Wizard, I have actually taken to watching sponge bob... when i know I won't get caught. Winter, I agree but I would go nuts without some noise in the background and I get so sick of listening to the same music over and over so my tv is pretty much on all the time, even when I am sleeping. lol Waiting for some books to come in the mail. Can't wait. I will finally have something I want to do when I take breaks from the computer. Other than watching my soaps. =) I swear, out of the 500 channels about 300 are infomercials from around 3 to 6. Then atleast 50 are religious programming for another hour or so. Heck, even the pay per view channels are "off air" for most of those hours. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep. The company where I work has the radio on all day. Problem is on the radio they keep playing the same songs every day. So my coworkers were calculating how much disc space we will need to store enough mp3 for a whole year. We were thinking to just set up a computer, put the mp3's on the harddisc(s) and randomize playing sequence. That would be cool (and maybe an idea for you? :) ) Forum search Contributions search Documentation search (note: docs being adapted for MS3, may be different for MS2) 3 tips for better forum searching Want to post? mpiscopo
Wow! People still watch TV.. I thought the Internet had replaced the television. Well, if there's nothing on TV - there's always the forums. :)

It quickly consumed the drive  Then we added more drives... Then RAID... It's definitely an obsession. BUT... It was the finest station I ever listened to. Load up everything and let it roll on random play. There's just something so right about going from MotorHead to Motown to Mingus and getting to hear tracks you might never put on for yourself (first place I'd ever heard Haitian Fight Song for example). HIGHLY recommended! Iggy Everything's funny but nothing's a joke...

♥bruyndoncx
Under the category 'TV on my PC' there is always something to enjoy ... http://www.fabchannel.com to watch recordings of concerts that were performed at Paradiso concert venue in the netherlands. Wendy James
Actually, I had about 40 gigs worth of music on my computer and listened all day. Had to wipe most of it though so I guess my pickings are too slim now to really enjoy. I listen to the music stations on my tv, and online radio but it seems that everyone plays the same music. Hard to find a good station that will combine the older stuff I like with the newer. Guess I am too picky for my own good. lol It's ok, when i get bored enough and Hubbie is at work I tease the dogs. Cheap entertainment. =) Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
Jeremy at oddly enough
Carine, Any recommendations? ed <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I watched some of the Presidents of the U.S.A. show, it looks good. Also there are two shows by a Canadian band The Arcade Fire, whom I've been hearing on a new radio station in town, and quite like! Jeremy
Rob123
My problem was that my favorite shows were never on when I wanted to watch them. Taping them was painful to say the least since I would always forget "something". I really love my DVR... It automatically records 40 hours of my favorite shows and watch them whenever I want. I swear I am not being paid by my cable company. Rob
Guest
I can relate! My cats are not pleased with the lack of an 'All Cat Channel' too! Sometimes I entertain myself by crumpling paper to see which cat comes running the fastest! They love to play with paper, knock my stuff around, lay in my paper trays, and get right in front of my monitor! They are such sweet creatures! I wouldn't trade any of them for anything in the world. I can definitely relate to the '500 channels of nothing to watch' syndrome! If it isn't infomercials or off air, it's bordering on x-rated, or it's already been shown 8 times that day! The best one though is - it's listed as one thing, but they are showing something else! There are too many buttons on the game controllers for me to play the newer video games. I do have a 'Museum' cartridge for the N-64 that has (I am dating myself here) - Galaxian, Galaga, PacMan, Ms. PacMan, PolePosition, & DigDug. Those are my speed for video games. A joy stick & maybe a fire button! Toodles! Lefty

bobsi18
I can definitely relate to the '500 channels of nothing to watch' syndrome! Ahh, wouldn't that be nice!!! I'm in Aus, with no pay TV, so we have 4 chanels. If the TV's being nice, we sometimes get a 5th (very fuzzy) chanel as well...

I have had a rather frustrating several days trying to get a contribution to work, and I finally have things the way I want them, I'm getting a little slap happy!
