How to add link right at bottom of page

I want to add a link right at the bottom of the page where it says copyright 2005 etc on my index page, where and how would i do this please.

i didnt add it in the end, used some function of the site, i just want to change tags on index page though please.

If you just want to add meta tags to your index page, then you just add them like you would add metat tags to any html page (search the web if you don't know how to do this). But doing that is really a waste of time since it will only add meta tags to that page. All of your other pages will not have them and your categories and products page displayed with index.php will have the same ones. You need to install the contribution Mark mentioned Header Tags. The purpose of meta tags is to help with getting your site listed better. Making those types of changes is one of the most important improvements you can make on your site so taking a shortcut is only hurting your it.
