UPS XML Dimensional Support

Hey peeps, I installed the UPS XML contribution with Dimensional Support installed, but it is not calculating my products size to the right amount of boxes. I have a box set up that is 20 x 16 x 8. I made my product one inch smaller 19 x 15 x 7 - because this is the box that it belongs to. But when I order lets say 20 - at checkout it only sais 7 boxes. WHATS THE DEALLL? Please help- Love all yalL!

Exactly what you mention: the algorithm is not accurate. Because it tends to get into an ever lasting loop the developer reverted to throw away a package when that happens. It also doesn't loop through all the box sizes if you ask me: I believe it sticks with the biggest one once it has used that one. It is quite a disaster, but you seem to be one of few people who noticed it ;)

I am about to install this contribution....So should I not install it if there are errors with it?

 

Hmmm...does this only happen when multiple items are purchased?

If so...is it only with the same prod being purchased or does it also mess up when multiple (different) items are purchased at the same time?

Don't use the dimensional support, it should have been switched to off by default, but the last contributor left it (accidently I guess) to on. For the rest it works fine.
