bookseller
hi, i came across this open source CRM or sourceforge.net from vtiger.com. The module is also based in PHP and mySQL, it wil probably work very well if it was edited to work with Osc. many of us handle thousands of customers and an equsl no. of customers. This module will perhaps make a very important addition with Osc.l

Anyway, if anyone figures out how to do this I would be very happy .. Thanks.

Thanks. there are some modules for sugar CRM, but none for vtiger. vtiger is based on sugar CRM, but vtiger is completely open source unlike sugar crm where u have to pay for advanced features. a module integrating OSC and vtiger will be immensely helpful and create a very powerful and customer centric system. Buttonman
I agree this would be good, in particular th integration could include: *Contact details are added into vtiger *Sales could automatically be entered as potentials Cheers, Scott
dumb_question
Did anyone come with a solution for viger integration. It looks very exciting.
demorphica
VTiger CRM is in fact based on Sugar CRM (came to know this while I was trying to remove the Sugar CRM logo from the dist. some time back), the difference is in the licensing (very liberal fo Vtiger, Sugar CRM is not actually freeware, it uses 'open source' as a marketing tool, there is no direct way you could remove the sugar crm logo from the package, Vtiger is a fork from previous versions to remedy this situation) and the distribution method (self installing executable vs browser based install). You can check out http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/osc-sugar-integ/ for the osCommerce - Sugar CRM integration and try making it work with vtiger. This integration uses a SOAP interface on SugarCRM to interact with osCommerce, and since the structures of both CRM's are very similar (same framework), it should not be too difficult to do this.
