price calculation/products added to cart

Hi,

 

Can someone explaint to me of show me the info on the net perhaps, of how osC does the whole proces (And i am talking about php here).

I'm still verry new at php, but I need to change the look of the checkout_confirmation.php. There needs to be a lot more info on it. Like extra columns with the price for one product en the total price (price for one product x qt). I was searching in the code myself - but it looks like one big giant spiderweb to me. All these pages link to eachother, its so much different then html websites :s

 

Anyway, Where or how can i find out about stuff like, how or where does the calculation of the prices take place, when/how and where are the products added to the database and with what add info are they added, when/how are they added to the cart, to the checkout_confirmation and to the order itself??

 

Is there a place to find out? Or are there people who can explain to me pls.

 

I think if i understand how it works, i might be able to add additional stuff in the checkout_confirmation and alter the calculation itself by giving more options.

looks like a pretty good documentation to find out where functions or other stuff link to.

 

But i wondered is there a guide out there or something, for if you want to make contributions, i think its important if you know how osC realy works.
